“My hand for scale this is definitely a large pipe,” says Vincent of Seven Shields Forge. “The length currently is looking to be almost exactly 16” end to end.”

The stem alone measures in at just under 14 inches.
“Most of the rest of the work looks to be carving and final polish to finish the pipe itself,” he says.
Among the final work will be the carving of the runes into the side of the Pipe.
“The runes we are going to use a pitch ink in the groove to make them appear a deep black to contrast the wood,” the forger of this Pipe explains.
“The dragon will hang from a bronze eye screw mounted on the bottom of the swell in the stem. And then the rest of the amulets will be mounted by a bronze jump ring that we will solder as the final step to bring all the pieces into unison and binding.”
The Pipe will indeed be ready for its upcoming trip to the Shell Ring where its spirit will be awakened.

Important Note — Normally. the stem and bowl are kept separate except in ceremony and only joined when the Pipe will be smoked.
However, this Pipe has yet to be awakened.
So, at the moment, those rules do not apply.
Once awakened, they will only be joined when there is an intent to smoke it in prayer or ceremony.
