Both stem and bowl of the Pipe exist in physical form.

There is still a lot to be done, but they exist!

“Well, I am happy to say that as we are talking, I am rough fitting the pieces together now and it is finally beginning to take shape,” said Vincent of Seven Shields Forge this afternoon.

And what’s more, it’s being born during a time of intense activity with regards to the Northern Lights which can be seen here in the Shenandoah Valley this time around.

The ancient Norse would look up at those lights and see a bridge between Earth, Yggdrasil and the other realms.

Appropriate considering this Pipe is itself a bridge between realms and Spirit.

“I always like to believe that the weather and nature can greatly enhance the emotion of a piece,” says Vincent.

“There are a lot of cultures that believe that through craftsmanship a piece gains almost a soul of its own,” he continues.

“That’s one of the reasons I like trying to forge a Mjolnir or two during a thunderstorm. Creating a symbol from legend that is wrought in the environment it brings with it.”

I look forward to watching as the Sunstone Pipe continues to take shape.

Note — Normally. the stem and bowl are kept separate except in ceremony and only joined when the Pipe will be smoked.

However, this Pipe has yet to be awakened.

So, at the moment, those rules do not apply.

Once awakened, they will only be joined when there is an intent to smoke it in prayer or ceremony.
